Introuducing Little Lyla

Hello everyone!

I know it has been a Very long time since I posted a blog. My pregnancy was very hard this time around and I really didn't have the energy to post. So let me give the spark notes version of my pregnancy.
~ Morning sickness lasted till 24 weeks
~ Heartburn started very early on. Not the best thing when you are getting sick 5-8 times a day for 5 months
~ I had hip pain my whole pregnancy to the point I would cry trying to roll over in bed at night and walking was pretty difficult.
~Lyla was on track her whole pregnancy until the end.
~ My blood pressure was perfect this time around!
~ I made it all the way to 39 weeks and my C-section date!

So now on to the best part! I want to introduce our second daughter Lyla Shirley Margaret Smith.
She was born on December 9th, 2016 at 10:42 AM She weighed 6 lbs 11 oz and was 20 inches long.
She is a rock star at breastfeeding. The only issue is she was diagnosed with a dairy intolerance. So that means I no longer get to eat cheese, milk, bread, and a whole slew of other things! She was weighed today at 9 lbs 8 oz! That means at almost 2 months old she has gained almost 3lbs! Lyla weighs more than what Sprout weighed at 3 months!

Speaking of Sprout, She is in LOVE with her sister! She is the best helper there is. She is always willing to get me diapers or wipes, or find Lyla's pacifier. Now the one thing we are having to teach her is that she can not pick up and carry Lyla around just yet. She has picked her up and carried her a few times which has scared the living daylights out of me. She love to hold her and hug and kiss her.

Sprout has been adjusting really well! I try to carve out time for just her and I as well as Cody has been spending a lot of time with her. I can not believe that in just a few weeks we will have a 3 year old! How did that happen? She is doing amazing in gymnastics. As well as learning all of her shapes, colors, letters and numbers. I will be doing homeschool preschool with her starting next month. I am pretty excited about that and I believe that will help with some of the lingering regression she still has.

Here are some pictures that were taken while in the hospital. Also some since we have been home!
